The 2026 Onvo L90 has been officially previewed ahead of its launch event on April 21.
The updated flagship SUV introduces two new two-tone exterior colorways, a new 21-inch multi-spoke wheel design, a rooftop-mounted LiDAR sensor, and the “Blue Light” smart driving indicator now standard on all NIO family vehicles.
Two-Tone Colors:
The first option pairs “Morning Silver” on the lower body with “Midnight Purple” above the window line — a custom BASF silver developed over several months, paired with a deep purple drawn from the color of the night sky over the Great Wall. The second option combines “Midnight Purple” with “Dawn Gold,” described as an Eastern aesthetic pairing of depth and brilliance.
Both colorways use the window trim line as the dividing point between colors, designed to create a natural transition without a hard split.
LiDAR Placement:
The rooftop “watchtower” layout positions the LiDAR and core smart driving sensors at height for an unobstructed field of view. The design was also compacted to minimize visual bulk and maintain the vehicle’s wind resistance.
Blue Light Indicator:
The smart driving indicator light is integrated into the curve of the side mirror housing, activating when intelligent assisted driving is engaged.
